Political Islam - The word politics originally drawn from Greek or Latin word meaning politicos or ploiticus Relating to citizen. Interpreted also as social relations involving authority or power and refers to the regulation of public affairs within a political unit with the methods and tactics used to formulate and implement policy (Wikipedia.org, 11/01/11). In the dictionary of the Indonesian language, politics is defined as (knowledge) of the constitution or state (like tt system of government, the basic rule). Politics is defined as well as all matters and actions (policy, strategy, etc.) about the government of the country or to other countries (KBBI online, 11/01/11). From the above it is seen in political terms emphasize the power of language, regulation of public affairs, policy application, form and system of government.
Slightly different, political in Arabic known as siyasah. Therefore, in the books of the scholars known term salafush siyasah syar'iyyah deeds, for example in Al Muhith, rooted siyasah said Sasa - yasûsu. In the sentence Sasa addawaba yasusuha siyasatan means Qama 'alaiha wa wa radlaha adabbaha (take care, train, and educate). When you say sasa al Amra means dabbarahu (handle / manage the case). The word sasa-yasusu-siyasatan which means holding the leadership community, lead or train animals and manage and maintain business.
If in English politics synonymous with power, then in Arabic meaning siyasah more emphasis on the maintenance of public affairs. The difference in emphasis in interpreting political consequences the implementation of today's politics. So it's natural now to put forward political power struggles rather than handling the affairs of the people.
